Women choosing to undergo breast reduction, generally have disproportionately large and heavy breasts. This causes various symptoms, including back and neck pain, shoulder grooving at the bra strap line, and rashes under the breasts. Additionally, the weight or the breasts on the chest often prevent women from engaging in physical activity to the level they want.

These women often benefit tremendously from a breast reduction. With a breast reduction procedure, excess breast tissue and skin are removed, to relieve the weight and make the breast more manageable. With the skin removal during the procedure, the nipple is also recentralized on the new, smaller breast. The resulting effect is not only more aesthetically pleasing, but can also be a significant functional benefit.
