Liposuction is a procedure that removes localized deposits of fat through very small incisions. The remaining skin shrinks back following fat removal, to some degree, in order to achieve a slimmer contour. Because liposuction does not involve removal of any excess skin, the best candidates are those with deposits of fat in unwanted areas, good skin tone, and little extra skin.

Some of the extra fat we all carry on our bodies isn’t there because of lack of weight control, but rather is there for genetic reasons. Areas where we commonly see excess fat accumulate are the face, hips, buttocks, abdomen, and thighs. Liposuction is an ideal procedure to remove some of this fat, that will not disappear with exercise and diet.
